Description
Enjoy a delicious twist on a classic favorite with these Philly Cheesesteak Cabbage Wraps, packed with flavorful steak, sautéed vegetables, and topped with gooey provolone cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound thinly sliced steak
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 4 large cabbage leaves
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and bell peppers, sautéing them until they are soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet, cooking it until browned while seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. This should take about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Once the steak is properly cooked, remove the skillet from the heat. Place generous servings of the steak mixture onto the cabbage leaves.
- Top each filled cabbage leaf with a sprinkle of shredded provolone cheese. Carefully roll the cabbage leaves around the filling, securing the contents within. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the steak briefly in a mixture of soy sauce and garlic before cooking. Experiment with different types of cheese like Swiss or cheddar for a twist.
