Description

Delightful homemade peppermint patties with a minty center surrounded by rich dark chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  2. Roll the mixture into small balls and flatten them into patty shapes.
  3. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler until smooth.
  5. Dip each patty into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated.
  6. Return the chocolate-covered patties to the baking sheet and let them set until the chocolate is firm, about 10-15 minutes.
  7. Enjoy your homemade peppermint patties!

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks in the refrigerator or three months in the freezer. Use parchment paper to separate the patties.
