Description

A delicious and satisfying dish perfect for busy weeknights, featuring tender chicken, sticky sauce, and fluffy rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Fluff it with a fork once it’s done, and set it aside.
  2. Mix the soy sauce, honey, sriracha, minced garlic, and minced ginger in a bowl to create a sauce.
  3. Sauté the chicken pieces in olive oil over medium heat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Combine the prepared sauce with the cooked chicken in the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring until coated and heated through.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust the sriracha to your desired spice level.
