Description
A delightful dish combining sesame flavors with protein-rich tofu and fresh broccoli.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block firm tofu
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into cubes.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the cubed tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, then add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry until just tender, about 4-5 minutes. Pour in the soy sauce and toss to coat the tofu and broccoli. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving, and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra crispy tofu, freeze overnight and press in the morning. Consider marinating tofu for added flavor. Add honey for sweetness if desired.
