A delightful dish featuring tender beef and fresh broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add sliced beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, stir-frying for an additional minute.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until vibrant green and slightly tender.
  5. Mix soy sauce, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl, then pour this mixture over the beef and broccoli.
  6. Reduce the heat and simmer for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Slice beef against the grain for tenderness. Consider adding bell peppers or snap peas for more nutrition.
