Description

A delightful side dish that combines savory, smoky flavors with crunchy textures. Crispy and caramelized Brussels sprouts enhanced by the addition of bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until well coated.
  3. Chop the bacon into small pieces and add to the bowl. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through until the Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized and the bacon is crispy.
  5. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, leave some space between the sprouts and bacon on the baking sheet. Substitute bacon with a lighter alternative if desired.
