Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Ensure the prime rib roast is at room temperature.
- Generously season the prime rib with salt and pepper. Optionally rub in minced garlic and fresh herbs like rosemary and thyme.
- Place the seasoned roast fat side up in a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes to develop a crust. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Slice and serve warm, with your favorite sides.
