Description

A delightful and moist dessert capturing the essence of summer with juicy peaches baked into a rich, buttery cake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  5. Gently fold in the sliced peaches, pour the batter into the prepared pan, and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg into the batter. Can substitute with canned peaches if fresh are unavailable.
