Description

Soft, chewy cookies packed with oats and gooey chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter-sugar blend, mixing until just combined.
  5. Mix in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, allowing space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  8. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
