Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)
  • 1 small ripe banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup low-fat Greek yogurt or unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup water or unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, if using fresh fruit)

Instructions

  1. Pour your chosen liquid, such as water or almond milk, into the blender jar first. Adding the liquid before the frozen ingredients helps the blades rotate more easily and prevents the motor from stalling.
  2. Add the frozen mixed berries, banana slices, and Greek yogurt into the blender. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, drizzle your honey or maple syrup over the top of the fruit at this stage.
  3. Secure the lid tightly and start the blender on its lowest speed setting. Gradually increase the speed to high and blend for approximately 45 to 60 seconds. Continue until the mixture looks completely smooth and vibrant in color.
  4. Stop the blender and check the thickness. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more liquid and blend for a few seconds. If it is too thin, add a few more frozen berries or a couple of ice cubes and blend again until you reach your desired texture.
