Description

A delightful fusion of savory and sweet flavors in a satisfying Korean dish with tender beef, fluffy rice, and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat, leaving a little to enhance flavor.
  2. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes to the beef. Mix everything well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, steam the broccoli and carrots until tender to keep the veggies vibrant and crunchy.
  4. Serve the beef mixture over a bed of cooked rice and top it with the steamed vegetables. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Use lean ground beef for a healthier option, or substitute with ground turkey or chicken. Adjust the level of spice as desired.
