Description

A delicious and satisfying meal featuring tender ground beef with a savory-sweet sauce, served over rice and topped with fresh garnishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 cucumber, sliced (optional)
  • 1 carrot, shredded (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add ground beef to a skillet over medium heat and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet to keep the dish from becoming greasy.
  3. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and stir until well combined.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha. You can also customize the toppings with additional vegetables like radishes or broccoli.
