Description

A moist and flavorful cake filled with juicy apples and aromatic spices, perfect for any gathering or cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add to the apple mixture.
  5. Slowly stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in nuts if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
