Description
A hearty meal that combines the classic flavors of jalapeño poppers with tender chicken and creamy cheese, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- 1/2 cup crispy bacon, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Once done, remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat and add cream cheese, stirring until melted.
- Mix in shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, and crumbled bacon until well combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, making sure to coat it thoroughly with the cheesy mixture.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is warmed through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For even cooking, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. You can substitute with pickled jalapeños for a milder dish or use turkey bacon for a lighter version.
