Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all your ingredients and ensure that the butter is softened.
- Cream together ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in almond extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold the dry mixture into the ricotta mixture until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
