Delightful mini tarts filled with a creamy mushroom mixture, perfect for finger food at any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 package of puff pastry
- 8 ounces of mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into small squares.
- Place the pastry squares into a greased muffin tin to form tart shells.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add onions and garlic, sautéing for 3-4 minutes.
- Add chopped mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and parmesan cheese with the mushroom mixture.
- Spoon the mushroom filling into each tart shell.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
