Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate chips until smooth, then dip the cooled cookies halfway into the melted chocolate and sprinkle with optional toppings.
- Place dipped cookies on a wire rack to let the chocolate set. Enjoy!

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
