Description

A creamy and flavorful Middle Eastern dip that’s quick and easy to prepare, perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas well to remove any canning liquid.
  2. In a food processor, combine the rinsed chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt.
  3. Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth consistency, adding water a tablespoon at a time if needed.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning; transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika on top.

Notes

For a creamier texture, consider peeling the chickpeas before blending. Hummus can be customized with various flavors like roasted garlic or herbs.
