Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, gather the soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Mix these ingredients together thoroughly to blend the flavors.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and let the excess drip off.
- Grill the chicken thighs for about 7-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Once grilled, remove the chicken and garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
For a spicy version, add sriracha or red pepper flakes to the marinade. Consider reserving some marinade to baste the chicken while grilling for extra flavor.
