Description
A mouthwatering sandwich featuring crispy fried chicken thighs drizzled with hot honey, layered on crunchy sourdough bread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Sourdough bread
- Hot honey
- Pickles
- Lettuce
Instructions
- Begin by marinating the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Dredge the marinated chicken thighs in the seasoned flour mixture and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Toast the sourdough bread until golden. Assemble the sandwich with fried chicken, a drizzle of hot honey, pickles, and lettuce.
Notes
For extra crispiness, double-dip the chicken in buttermilk and flour before frying. Let the chicken rest after cooking for maximum juiciness.
