Description

A comforting dish featuring juicy beef patties smothered in rich mushroom gravy, perfect for weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined, then shape into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and brown the patties on both sides.
  3. Remove patties and set aside. In the same pan, add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir, and gradually add beef broth while stirring. Allow mixture to thicken, then return patties to the pan and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve patties topped with mushroom gravy.

Notes

Pair with mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the gravy. Can store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
