Description

A delightful base for any pizza enthusiast, allowing you to create a personal pie that’s tailored to your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. After rising, punch down the dough, roll it out to your desired thickness.

Notes

Store any unused dough wrapped tightly in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
