Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Butter or ghee (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix warm water, yogurt, and olive oil.
  3. <liGradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring until a dough starts to form. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
  5. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a flat oval or circle.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes on each side until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Brush with butter or ghee before serving.
