Description

A vibrant, fresh green salsa made with tomatillos, jalapeños, and lime juice, perfect for dipping or as a topping.

Ingredients

  • Tomatillos (fresh or canned)
  • Jalapeño peppers
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Cilantro
  • Lime juice
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Husk and rinse the tomatillos under cool water and chop off any stems.
  2. Roast fresh tomatillos and jalapeños on a grill or under a broiler until charred (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Finely chop the onion, garlic, and cilantro.
  4. In a blender, combine the grilled tomatillos, jalapeños, chopped onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary by adding more salt or lime juice.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos and other dishes.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays.
