Description

A delightful twist on the classic chocolate treat, these Healthy Twix Bars are gluten-free and made with wholesome ingredients, providing all the crunch and sweetness without the guilt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dates, pitted
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Begin by blending the pitted dates in a food processor until they form a sticky paste. This will be the base for your bars.
  2. Add almond flour, melted coconut oil, peanut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the food processor. Blend until smooth.
  3. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the date mixture into the dish and press it evenly into the bottom. Freeze for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Once firm, cut into bars, dip in melted dark chocolate, sprinkle with sea salt, and refrigerate until chocolate hardens.

Notes

These bars can be served as a dessert or snack and are great for meal prep. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
