- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Green food coloring
- Whipped cream (for serving)
- Chocolate chips (for decoration)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in a few drops of green food coloring until the desired shade is reached.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with whipped cream and chocolate chips on top.
Notes
For extra flavor, add vanilla extract or substitute honey for sugar. Pancakes can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days or frozen for up to a month.
