Description

Delightful skewers bringing together juicy shrimp and smoky sausage, perfect for summer barbecues or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Combine shrimp, sliced sausage, chunks of bell pepper, onion, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Toss until well coated.
  3. Thread the marinated shrimp, sausage slices, and vegetable chunks onto the skewers, alternating between shrimp and sausage.
  4. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp are opaque and sausage is heated through.
  5. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp to avoid rubbery texture. You can marinate the ingredients for enhanced flavor.
