Description
Delightful skewers bringing together juicy shrimp and smoky sausage, perfect for summer barbecues or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 onion, cut into chunks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes.
- Combine shrimp, sliced sausage, chunks of bell pepper, onion, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Toss until well coated.
- Thread the marinated shrimp, sausage slices, and vegetable chunks onto the skewers, alternating between shrimp and sausage.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp are opaque and sausage is heated through.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve hot.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp to avoid rubbery texture. You can marinate the ingredients for enhanced flavor.
