Description

Delightful and customizable French Toast Cups made from bread soaked in a sweet egg mixture, baked until golden.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices of bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Butter (for greasing the pan)
  • Optional toppings: maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh fruit

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter.
  2. Cut the bread slices into quarters.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
  4. Dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture and place it into the muffin tin.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and set.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes before removing them from the muffin tin.
  7. Serve warm with desired toppings.

Notes

Use slightly stale bread for the best texture, such as brioche or challah. Customize with toppings for added flavor.
