Description

A delicious and nutritious cake combining rich chocolate flavor and protein for a guilt-free indulgence, perfect for celebrating Father’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup protein powder
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the protein powder, almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution of ingredients.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, honey (or maple syrup), Greek yogurt, applesauce, and vanilla extract in another bowl until thoroughly blended.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Gently pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Serve plain or with fresh berries, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce. Store leftovers wrapped in plastic or in an airtight container.
