Description

A comforting and easy casserole that combines creamy textures, tender noodles, and savory tuna, all topped with a delightful layer of cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine tuna, cream of mushroom soup, frozen peas, cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  4. Fold cooked noodles into the mixture until evenly coated, then transfer to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if desired.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly, and cheese is melted and golden. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a different twist, substitute tuna with shredded chicken or cooked shrimp. Add vegetables like bell peppers or corn for extra nutrition.
