- 1 1/4 cups warm milk
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix melted butter, egg, and the yeast mixture until well combined.
- Gradually add in flour and salt until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface and spread melted butter over it.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans evenly over the buttered dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls, about 1-inch thick.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
Notes
Best served warm with whipped cream or fresh fruit. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
