Description

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 3 carrots, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 cup frozen peas

Instructions

  1. Add the beef stew meat, potatoes, carrots, onion, and garlic to a slow cooker.
  2. Mix together the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables in the slow cooker.
  4. Stir to combine all the ingredients, cover the slow cooker, and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. If using, add the frozen peas in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
