- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are set, but centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week; freeze for longer storage.
