A delightful layered cake inspired by the classic cookies and cream dessert, perfect for any celebration.

- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 1 container (16 oz) whipped topping
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Additional Oreo cookies for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Evenly divide the batter between the two prepared pans.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, combine the whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Place one cooled layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of the whipped topping mixture over it.
- Carefully place the second layer on top and use the remaining whipped topping to cover the top and sides of the cake.
- Decorate the top with additional Oreo cookies as desired.
- Slice and serve the cake.
Notes
Store leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
