Description

A comforting blend of egg noodles, tuna, and creamy mushroom sauce topped with a crunchy finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook egg noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen peas, grated cheddar cheese, chopped onion, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and sprinkle crushed potato chips on top if desired. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  4. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté onions in olive oil before mixing. Substitute tuna with canned chicken or chickpeas for variations.
