Description

A delightful dessert blending warm flavors of cinnamon and maple with crunchy pecans, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet to prevent sticking.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, maple syrup, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the batter and press them in lightly.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and roll the cake into a tight log while warm.
  9. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Ensure eggs are at room temperature for better incorporation. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving to keep it fresh.
