Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red and green sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Prepare the red velvet cake mix according to the package instructions, adding in the eggs, oil, and water.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Once cooled, poke holes throughout the top of the cake using a fork or a skewer.
- In a bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk and pour it over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream mixture over the top of the cake.
- Decorate with red and green sprinkles.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider using cream cheese in place of the whipped cream.
