Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed butter and sugar.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and dried cherries gently until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
