Description
A delightful blend of flaky croissants, tangy cream cheese, and sweet blueberries baked to golden perfection, ideal for brunch or breakfast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large croissants, torn into pieces
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a greased casserole dish, layer the torn croissant pieces and fresh blueberries.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant and blueberries.
- Spoon the cream cheese over the top and gently mix everything to combine. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top. Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Use day-old croissants for best results; they absorb the custard better without becoming too soggy.
