- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Mash 3 ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth, then stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in 1/2 cup sugar, 1 beaten egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Add 1 teaspoon baking soda and a pinch of salt, mixing to combine.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of all-purpose flour, being careful not to overmix. Then, fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use the ripest bananas possible for maximum sweetness.
