Description

A classic dish combining tender beef and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix together the soy sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth to create a marinade. Add the sliced beef and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until tender but crisp.
  5. Add the oyster sauce if using, stir well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

Slice beef thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness. Feel free to add other vegetables for extra nutrition and color.
