- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the shrimp, adding the lemon juice and fresh parsley. Mix well to combine.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Notes
For a spicier kick, feel free to increase the red pepper flakes. Fresh herbs can be substituted for parsley, and if you prefer, you can use whole grain or gluten-free pasta.
